About Me

Hi! My name is Nikki Pirtel.

In my previous academic career, I specialized in ecological research that used similar tools, techniques, and procedures in the data analytics field where I elucidated the patterns in collected field or third-party sourced data to answer pertinent research questions. I believe strongly in the objectivity and empiricism of the scientific process and will apply my extensive practice of this systematic approach to all future endeavors.

In my search for a new, rewarding career, I found myself drawn to the world of data analytics because of my insatiable curiosity to solve and understand complex problems through discovering patterns in raw data. As we evolve as a society and become progressively more intertwined with digital technologies, cleaning, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to derive insights and provide recommendations for future action will be vital in all industries. With a varied repertoire of technical and interpersonal skills and through dedication and continuous learning, I'm well prepared to excel in the growing and increasingly important field of data analysis.

My greatest accomplishments stem from my ability to learn and hone new skills and apply those skills to a final thorough and complete project. In graduate school and a voluntary online data analytics course, I became proficient in various programming languages, data visualization tools, and statistical analyses where I discovered the power of storytelling through data and learned that the ability to communicate data insights effectively is just as important as the analytical procedures themselves. Check out my projects above and contact me below if interested!
